Dockwise :: Drafting Engineer (Shanghai office)

Responsibilities:

Impact on Business:

• Provides drafting support to design engineers including structural, marine and transport engineers.
• Communicates with design engineers about the drafting requirements.
• Works closely with the design engineers to work out the drawings for all kinds of offshore, transport and installation projects
• Answers enquiries or contracts through collection, analysis and use of all necessary information needed for a successful process.
• Prepares drawings and has documents checked and approved.

Internal & External Customers/Suppliers as well as Third Parties:

• Gives support to other disciplines by using drawings, using industry standard and internal software.
• Offers (un)requested advice to ensure a safe and successful project execution.

Innovation and Change:

• Assists in the development and improvement of drafting procedures, standard, work flow and tools (Microstation and Projectwise).
• Gives support to contribute to the development, implementation and maintenance of the business processes with required tools (Microstation and Projectwise).

Requirements:

Educational Background:
College degree or above in ocean engineering, ship structural or relevant fields.

Professional Knowledge:

• Relevant Experience in the offshore structural design/drafting field.
• Familiar with the design of at least one of the three offshore platforms: Jacket, Semi-submersible and Jackup.

Other skills:

• MS Office.
• Project management.
• Proficient with AutoCAD or Microstation drawing software (English version) and related office software
