Before any Dockwise vessel sets sail, the transport has already been executed many times in the minds of Engineers. While preparing the voyage plans, the horizon has been studied for waves the vessel will encounter, the winds it will experience and the loads the cargo will feel. All of this has one aim in mind. To make sure the transport is executed so smoothly that their work goes unnoticed.
Engineering Overview
To successfully transport and install the world’s most inconceivable cargoes, Dockwise employs highly trained people whose individual motivation is first rate and who want to do an excellent job for clients. Those people are working on several Engineering Departments.
Mission:
To provide ‘up-to-date-‘ engineering advice and support Transport and Installation Engineers. Also assist in the development and improvement of ME working methods and tools.
Responsibilities:
- Answer enquiries through collection, analysis and use of all necessary information needed for a successful acquisition process
- Assist in the preparation of a transport, perform studies for the preparation of Transport and Installation projects and have documents checked and approved
- Provide Engineering advice and support to other disciplines, using industry standard and in-house developed hydrodynamics software
- Offer (un)requested advice to ensure a safe and successful project execution
- Doing research, share knowledge and develop, prepare and maintain engineering tools for future use
- Give support to contribute to the development, implementation and maintenance of business processes within the section
Requirements:
- Completed Bachelor or higher in the field of naval architecture, aerospace or offshore engineering
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience, specific knowledge about offshore and ship hydromechanics
- Fluent in Dutch and English, both verbally and in writing
- IT skills, MS Office, MATLAB, MATHCAD

- Able to work independent and within a team
- Excellent reporting skills
