Sales Manager Heavy Marine Transport (Shanghai Office)
Mission:
Responsible for the overall negotiation and administration of contracts and the development and implementation of contracts. Realize the follow up of incoming inquiries and ensuring the total tender process with customers. Realization of the gross revenue and gross margin targets in the target market.
Responsibilities:
Impact on Business:
• Identifies the actions and time scheduled needed to define opportunity approach.
• Secures the agreed pricing strategy in the target market and initiating opportunities to stretch pricing possibilities.
• Defines which inquiries are hot, medium and cold and agree the tender/proposal process.
• Reports in time if signing of the contract is in danger and propose corrective actions.
• Ensures and maintains the complete contractual negotiation process and final signature and secure control of all relevant documents regarding the complete process.
• Ensures commercial information data input on inquiries, contracts, visit reports, competitive information and customer information in relevant marketing information databases.
• Adheres to company business ethics and corporate governance compliance.
• Extensive travelling within designated region.
Innovation and Change:
• Identifies, analyzes, develops, advises and presents relevant new business opportunities within designated segment.
• Initiates, develops and executes the account management plan for key accounts in the target market.
Internal & External Customers/Suppliers as well as Third Parties:
• Contacts and maintains a relationship with (potential) clients and to have a communication with all parties involved maintained.
• Presents monthly KPI reporting for management and proposing required actions to reach the objectives.
• Coordination of account management plans with foreign offices and commercial agents.
• Maintains a relationship through regular communication both internally and externally with clients and other parties involved having maximum project awareness assured and satisfaction.
• Contacts, supports and maintains relationships with marketing, engineering, operations, finance, legal, subcontracting, fleetsupervision.
• Coordinates and delegates internally oriented activities to Sales Coordinator.
• Single point of contact for the foreign offices and agents for the designated area.
• (Pro active) visiting clients and business relations.
Requirements:
Educational Background:
• Bachelor or higher with a technical background
Professional Knowledge:
• Above 5 years of sales experience in Heavy Marine Transport area with existing network in oil and offshore engineering industry.
• Training in the field of commercial, shipping and/or business knowledge and skills.
• Knowledge and experience with required computer programs.
Other skills:
• MS Office.
• Fluent in Mandarin and English, both verbally and in writing.
